Councilmember Cordero announces free COVID-19 vaccination and testing Community partners team up for two Saturday events 

KALIHI, O‘AHU — Honolulu City Councilmember Radiant Cordero has announced that free  COVID-19 vaccinations and testing will be available thanks to the City & County of Honolulu,  the Hawai‘i State Department of Health, and community partners including Farrington High  School, Project Vision Hawai‘i, the Hawai‘i Public Health Institute, Nareit Hawai‘i, the Public  Good Projects, FilCom Center, and its FilCom CARES initiative. 

"I am grateful to co-host this collaborative COVID-19 vaccination and testing effort with our  community partners. Getting tested and vaccinated has been a proven way to combat surges of  COVID-19 and keep our community safe. By providing these services, conveniently located in  our communities and free of charge to our residents, we will continue to keep Hawai‘i safe," said  Councilmember Cordero. 

WHEN: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, September 11 

 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, October 2 

WHERE: Farrington High School, 1564 North King Street 

• Vaccinations to be administered at the library; walk-ins welcome. 

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be offered for ages 18 and older. 

The Pfizer vaccine for ages 12 and older will be offered. Recipients 12 to 17 years old must be  accompanied by a parent or guardian. 

• Testing will be conducted at the gym for drive-up and auditorium for walk-in. • No appointment necessary. 

• Bring a photo ID and medical insurance card, if possible. 

• Masks and physical distancing required.

Honolulu City Councilmember Radiant Cordero represents Council District 7 which includes  Kalihi, lwilei, Kalihi Kai, Māpunapuna, Salt Lake, Āliamanu, Hickam, Foster Village, Ford  Island, and Sand Island. She also serves as Chair of the Council Committee on Transportation,  Sustainability and Health.
